Divorcing an Addict: What to Know Before, During, and After

$30.00

đź“… Thursday, March 12th
⏰ 12:00–1:30 p.m. ET
📍 Live on Zoom
Replay included for all registrants

Divorcing someone with addiction is not the same as divorcing someone without it.

The emotional, relational, and practical dynamics are different — and many women don’t realize how different until they are already inside it.

This therapist-led seminar is for women who are:

• Contemplating divorce from a partner with addiction
• Actively divorcing someone whose addiction is shaping the process
• Recently divorced and navigating the ongoing impact of addiction

Together, we’ll explore:

• Why deciding to leave often brings more emotional intensity before it brings peace

• The grief that doesn’t look like grief and the guilt that doesn’t make logical sense

• How addiction impacts communication, co-parenting dynamics, and decision-making during divorce

• What patterns tend to escalate once you stop managing everything

• How to prepare emotionally and practically before taking next steps

• Why clarity doesn’t automatically calm the nervous system — and how to stabilize anyway

• The identity shift that happens when the relationship ends but the impact remains

This seminar is about the psychological and emotional realities of ending a relationship shaped by addiction—and learning how to move forward without minimizing what you’ve been through.

What to expect:

This will be a calm, therapist-led space. You are welcome to attend with your camera off. There is no expectation to speak or share. The seminar is primarily lecture-style, with optional time for questions at the end.

Before registering:

• This is a live Zoom seminar
• A replay will be emailed to all registrants
• The Zoom link will be sent 30 minutes before the event
• This seminar is educational and supportive in nature and does not replace therapy
